Gas mileage for my car

i was thinking hybrid for my next car, but i'm not sure. might just go diesel instead.

i remember it was 99 cents for a 500ml bottle. that'd be 1.98/l.

another thing that i don't know was mentioned is the cold weather and short trips.
i find that winnie's mileage sucks in these winter months and her frequent trips to the preschool and back and that's it. if the car doesn't have a chance to get up to operating temps on many of your trips per tank, you're going to expect worse gas consumption.

those short trips are the worst. sometimes on my way home (especially on cold days) i intentionally take the long route just to get the car up to temp and drive it for a bit like that.

yea, sometimes i contemplate taking a longer drive but most of the time i don't bother cuz i don't want to be late.

BTW, how short is too short of a trip in your opinions?

IMO, the engine has to warm up to normal operating temperature.
