ac flies to vegas. i was checking flights before i settled with westjet.

ac sucks anyway, bad food, lame technology (one common screen, uncomfortable seats, etc), ugly stewardesses.

nice find dunc. my high school buddies and i actually picked up a similar deal just before the end of february.

instead of our original plan to go to tokyo and then HK, we're flying to HK first to work out a round trip to Tokyo and back to HK. saved a pretty penny there.

oh and it seems like west jet is matching the air canada promo prices so you can actually book westjet with those prices as well...

westjet chicks are hot if you get chicks, but it's a pretty good mix of guys and girls. they're all usually young though.

did you guys have ryan on your lap or actually pay for a seat for him when you went to hk? and how was he on the flight?

just had him on our laps. if you're bringing a car seat you'll have to pay for another seat though.
i think kids under 2 fly for free on domestic flights (or maybe that includes flights to the states too, don't remember).
a friend of mine just went to toronto over christmas with her 5 month old and she said they didn't give her anything in the way of special belts and stuff. when we went we had to strap ryan to our belts.

so, hard to say what it'd be like for hayden. she's older and more mobile. just make sure you bring enough stuff for her to do (i think it's a 5 hour flight? i could imagine that she could get pretty bored in 5 hours).

haha.. 5 hours, she gets bored after 5 seconds of playing with one toy...

we're going to be bringing a portable dvd player for her to watch stuff, and maybe have a laptop so she can smash the keyboard around... worse comes to worse, i'd like to see her run up and down the aisle screaming off the top of her lungs... and we're hoping she'll nap for a good 2 hrs during the flight... we booked a flight that overlaps her usual nap time. So she'll either nap during the flight or we'll have on friggen cranky kid...

how did you strap ryan to your belts? do you mean you brought along an attachment or did you just strap that little buddha into the same belt as winnie since she doesn't take up the whole seat?

they give us this belt that goes around ryan (like a belt haha) and it has a loop attached to it that goes around the parent's belt. i don't even see how it's safe because it's loose as heck. i don't think you get it for short flights though (because i guess somehow short flights don't crash as often so who cares about safety).

hopefully the flight isn't too full or you might get a LOT of nasty stares. we were lucky because our flight was full of babies. no matter how much ryan cried (which was pretty much not at all), there would be another kid way worse haha.
