haha... you know what's gonna happen, once lent is up, i'm gonna go on a gambling binge in vegas... technically if you want to help me out, you'll get the poker out of my system before i go to vegas and blow away Hayden's college fund...

like i was explaining to everyone on saturday, depending what tradition you hold, lent can end at different times (not to mention start at different times). so finish lent whenever you want. if you started on the 17th (ash wednesday) then count 40 days and stop there (palm/passion sunday) or you can not count the 5 (actually 6) sundays in lent which will end you on saturday (or passion saturday as it were).

if you feel that lent has been long enough, then stop. stopping earlier isn't going to change anything in any shape or form (except for your own personal feelings toward the matter).
