Cool... you seem to really know your stuff. I am just trying to sort out this stuff so that I'm not picking a random name on a ballot. If you have more to say on the subject, i think you should post more about it. So based on your post I guess you are in the liberal camp? Have you always felt strongly about their platform? Does your opinion upon the choice of parties depend on the current party leadership group. If so how does your opinion about this the current party leadership reflect in comparison to previous leadership groups?

This election is like a NHL draft day with no clear number one pick. Nor any potential superstars.

So with all the talk of another minority government. Harper and the conservatives manage to get their majority government. The biggest surprise of all is the rise of the NDP as official opposition and the liberals only managing 34 seats. The bloc nearly wiped out of existence with 4 seats and green party getting it's first seat in the house of commons.

its a bit surprising that how little the constituents seem to care about the actually representative as opposed to the party i guess. an assistant pub manager? did the ndp just pick random people of the streets in quebec?

^ Yes, as an NDP, but he's a poli / sci NUT, Been watching CPAC since he was a kid, and might have actually attended more public sessions than Ignatieff.

He just started his second year poli / sci too.

Somehow, I think that he's FAR MORE PREPARED than many of the others that are heading to Ottawa for this term.... He might become the poster child for Layton one day.
