I say stick with Luongo but pull him first chance you get if it seems like momentum is swinging away.

i voted schneids. i think he may give us the best shot at winning game 5... if luo loses game 5, then there's no way you can put schneids in a game 6 elimination scf game... that's just too much pressure.

If you put in schneids and he wins game 5, we can always put back luo for game 6. And hopefully the one game on the bench wakes him up out of his funk.

i wonder if any past goalie has ever gotten pulled 3 times in the playoffs and still won the Cup.

They should have put in Schneider after the second goal in game 4. It was clear that Lu wasn't going to show up at all for the second game in a row (fourth time in these playoffs). With Schneider in net playing in his hometown...

As for game 5, I say Schneider. Back to Lu in game 6, and if there's a game 7, go with the better goalie. Or at least go with the one the team plays better for. To heck with pressure and ego. They need to do what's best for the team, and if that means starting a game with your less experienced backup, then so be it.

I think sometimes a team plays better defensively when they know they have a weaker/less experienced goalie behind them. And their defensemen definitely need to play better. People criticize the Canucks offense and lack of scoring, but when the D can't get out of their own zone, and can't hold the blue line when on the offense, what chance do the forwards have of applying any sort of sustained pressure. ... Not to mention the D's complete inability to make a smart play defensively... *sigh*

For a team to have one of, if not the best two man goalie combinations in the league, it's disappointing we're having such a problem.

looks like luo got the job done in Game 5. Hopefully the whole team will get the job done in game 6!

i think luongo had decent starts in the 1st period in games 3 and 4, but everything fell apart in the 2nd period. Hopefully he'll get his mind in the right place at game time
