cruise or all-inclusive resort?

Postby nature boy » Mon Nov 28, 2011 11:57 pm

i've never been to an all-inclusive before, but it's definitely something i'd want to try. winnie isn't interested because she thinks that she could "sit on her butt at home", so she'd rather go on a cruise where you at least get off at different ports and stuff.

the different ports were boring i thought. i could have done all those things at an all-inclusive too.

what do you guys think?

I enjoy both for the different things that they offer.

That being said, If your regular day life isn't that high paced to begin with, an all inclusive won't really give you much more except a beach and free laundry I guess.

i think it really depends on what you prefer... cruise is kinda like all inclusive (minus drinks i guess), but you get to port and see things... while a resort, it's really up to you if you want to go out and do things...

oh, and if you get seasick, i suppose a resort is best haha...

All-inclusive ftw... cruises suck because they're on the ocean.

Anyway - just because you're at an all-inclusive resort, doesn't mean you have to sit at the resort all day every day. The cities that the resorts are in usually have lots of entertainment outside of the resort. Go out to town and soak in the local flavour or go do some excursions like ATV'ing or jungle trekking. There's lots of stuff to do.

other factors, a resort probably has bigger rooms.
a cruise, may have more activities for varying ages.

this is just based on my what i have read up on them. i never actually been to either.

i would think that a resort would have more people there too. i.e. better chance of hot chicks.

it really depends on the season you go resorting or cruising... there could be nothing but old ugly ppl if you go the wrong time of the year.. that's why spring break is always so expensive.. haha

Definitely going to pick cruise, unless it's in the perfect location, I don't think all-inclusive is worth it. And chances are in my book if I want it to be in the perfect location I am going to have to pay big bucks to get there.
