yeah, i think most of us got bored of tournament style play. but it's been quite a while so maybe we can do it again, but it'd have to be at a place where there's enough to do after you're knocked out.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying... I wasn't suggesting it as a new rule. I was just saying that 3 buy-ins should be more than enough for a non-donkey player playing our usual $4 limit games.

oh, i thought you meant that if we were to limit to 3 buy-ins then we can't play non-$4 limit games anymore.

i think we hardly buy in more than 3 times anyway. it happens, but it's not a regular occurrence.

i think a hold'em tournament would be fun since we haven't done that in a long time... although it's probably because it takes like 5 hrs to complete when we have a full table and none of our wives are willing to let us neglect them and kids if we have them for 5 hrs

anyways, if we play tournament, and everyone buys in in the beginning, then we'd have no problems!
