Science World free admission tomorrow Dec 3rd

Or rather, they call it Telus World of Science now.

They just finished the remodeling of the inside, so they're giving free admission tomorrow. Expect it to be packed though.

Apparently they had to cancel the freebie on Saturday because they had a power grid failure there.

They should've got one of the scientists there to make a backup generator out of potatoes.

yeah my brother was going to go and he was like, sure, "power outage". i wonder if they're going to have another make up free day.

any word on another free day? i wonder what it's like inside after the renos, or if it's even noticeable.

Nope, they just didn't bother with another free day.

haha, i bet it was the science world financial advisor that sabotaged the power then.

Maybe... but if they shut down all operations for that day, they weren't making money that way either.

they saved on wages that wouldn't have been supported by free admission. shutting down for a free day is less of a hit i would think.

It didn't say if they sent the staff home or not... When we have a power outage here at my work, we have to stay.

I guess they'd be saving on power costs though.

haha, i guess you can do that. and i guess you don't need power to answer the phone either.

Yeah, there's answering the phone and plus we have to stay in case the power comes back up. You never know how long it's out for... it might be 5 minutes, it might be 5 hours.

i thought they're usually able to give you a ballpark figure of when the power will come back on. they usually do that with me when our power goes out.
