something I am thankful for today...

jan 7: celebrating another joyous occassion, and some good 'ole nhl for shots
jan 8: a relatively quick congregational meeting
jan 9: time spent playing with my nephew

jan 10: club can't handle me - flo rida & d. guetta

jan 11: being able to get through tough times.
jan 12: the modern marvel of computers, without which i wouldn't have a job or a lot of the conveniences I probably take for granted.
jan 13: movies, even "b" ones. being able to just magically escape into a story is sometimes the best vacation 2hrs of time can buy
jan 14: a great community of friends
jan 15: a supportive family
jan 16: what appears to finally be a resolution between my union and employer after more than 3 years of negotiating
jan 17: some great co-workers, that treated me for lunch today!

Jan 17 - Thankful for brother Joel who has such a positive outlook on life

jan 17 - joel's birthday and no one started a happy birthday thread. i think i'll do that now.

jan 18 - for snow. beyond some of the hassles it brings, i think snow is actually cool! and i have lots of good memories as a kid playing in the snow.

jan 19 - having extended medical/dental insurance, it's pretty nice to only have to pay like 10 dollars for a check-up/cleaning. when i think about it, i am pretty thankful for our medical system in canada in general, being able to get my knee fixed (mri + surgery) all within a year and not having to pay a fortune for it.

if you take into account how much of your taxes and msp payments to into it, you might've actually paid a fortune for it w/o even knowing lol...

jan 19 - thankful that the chu forums is still up and running after 2 years because it's a welcomed source of escape from work

jan 20 - getting a day off from work as my jaw recovers from wisdom tooth surgery. i also thankful for congee!

whoa you had your wisdom teeth pulled? hope you feel better man.

haha just one yesterday. 3 down in total. 1 more to go. (only had them pulled as my dentist recommended). i think the recovery for this one will be pretty quick, the oral surgeon had some pretty crazy miracle drugs that he gave me in IV form. Right now it i imagine it feels the same as have being punched in the face a couple of times. though i wouldn't know for sure.

jan 21 - prescription pain killers
jan 22 - late b-day gifts you aren't expecting
jan 23 - another co-worker that has to work early at 7am who can let you into the office when you forget your security badge at home. the same guy who played hockey with Scott Hannan as a kid.

jan 24 - pre-cooked frozen foods. it's just so convenient sometimes
jan 25 - public transit in the lower mainland. i hate it some days. but it's cheap compared to some other alternatives.
jan 26 - the human body's ability to heal itself.
jan 27 - for my team at work.
