Although, doing it ourselves did save a lot more money than I thought it would.

but ya, $14/person for all that food and so much left over afterwards is pretty good. If we bought the perfect amount, it'd probably cost only $10-12/person...

just goes to show you how much money hot pot places can make even with all you can eat.

actually, we got some overpriced stuff too at t&t. i was talking to the in-laws and were suggesting where we could go next time. the beef we got at t&t that was packaged all nice was like $18 a pound, other places have it for $5 a pound.

i have a feeling we could have done it for under $10 a person, without leftovers.

chinatown is the cheapest for hotpot food from what i hear. My parents save a ton on produce daily because they know where to go... not to mention they pretty much know everyone there lol
