I think he either is rump jr or at least knows rump jr (maybe the guy he's on the phone with was the real rump jr?) and the end game is to end the curse so everyone can go home. Maybe te knife thing was just to make sure that there isn't any magic for sure in this world.

he didn't actually say that he's not rump's son, rump said that and august neither denied or confirmed the allegation.
i think it still makes sense that he is, that's why he wants to get home, and that's why he knows everything about the book.

if he's future henry, i thought that would make sense if henry had just left storybrooke for a while and came back to the stopped-timeness, but time started up again when emma showed up. so how did he become future henry?

my money is still on august being rump's son.

the weird thing about magic not existing though, if it doesn't exist how did the mayor open up her secret heart lair to kill the sheriff? i seem to remember that she used magic. and how did the hatter disappear? wasn't that magic?

Well, that was unexpected... He's Pinochhio.
That means he can get it on with Emma after all. He's made of wood, so she should like that.

anyone else find it somewhat strange that august and rump were so civil and even somewhat chummy in yesterday's episode? after all that drama in the episode prior, you'd think that rump would do august no favours

They probably found out they have a common goal, although still not sure why Rump wants to undo the curse.

That whole thing about Emma not being able to see Pinocchio's leg because she doesn't believe... that feels a lot like Peter Pan stuff. I wonder if there will be any Peter Pan stories in the show later.
