New Spiderman movie

I enjoyed it a lot. The acting is INFINITELY superior to the previous three. That alone redeems the franchise. The story is the story, they did change it a bit to freshen it up but as long as you realize that you'll be sitting through the origin story again, then you won't go in expecting to have your socks knocked off. Andrew Garfield was actually a gymnast before so the action scenes do look far more authentic. That being said, I enjoyed the dialog more than the action.

I actually had pretty low expectations going in. I was 'spidermanned out'.
I liked this one though. I thought it was pretty good. And OMG I was so happy that Peter wasn't constantly whining about MJ.

I thought it was the best of the bunch.

ditto, best of the bunch for sure. Also, i can't emphasize how relieved i am that they cast a better looking leading lady in Emma Stone. I can't stand Kirsten Dunst...

Although i did find it quite shocking that spiderman was so open to revealing his identity to everyone. Hasn't he always been so concerned about protecting the people around him that he tried to hide his secret identity as best he could?

I never liked Kirsten Dunst either... she always seems so greasy/dirty and drugged up. That being said, I'm not too fond of Emma Stone in this role either. I like Emma Stone, I just didn't think she fit. I haven't watched the movie yet though, so I might still change my mind on that. I was at Superstore and while I was lining up to pay, I saw the magazine stand and saw her on the cover of Vogue magazine. She looked super hot in that cover for some reason.

Oh yeah, and it is kinda weird that he is revealing his identity so willingly. In the Marvel universe world storyline where they had the superhero registration program, Spiderman is supposed to be one of the heroes fighting to keep his identity secret.

Maybe this has to do with the origin story though - that he found out the hard way that revealing his identity would put the people he loves in jeopardy.

although he doesn't really "learn" the lesson in this movie... he's kinda told explicitly that his life as spiderman will put those he loves in jeopardy haha...

i actually enjoyed the first 2 spiderman movies... yes I think MJ was totally miscast, but i liked tobey as parker, he totally dorked it out as PP should be. one of the biggest appeals to spidey is that he is the nerd turned superhero...

Peter Parker was a nerd, but he wasn't a dork. In the comics, Spiderman was always witty to the point of being a smartass. In terms of witty, smartass remarks, he should probably be up there with Ironman and Deadpool.

The Toby Mcguire Spiderman was dorky and awkward. I don't think it was Toby's fault though. Probably just scripting.

i never thought tony stark was all that witty. maybe rhodie when he was iron man, but not stark (imho).
deadpool is the funniest by far. spiderman is supposed to be funny, but i don't know if peter parker was.

Stark is witty to match his genius intellect, but I guess not necessarly "funny" witty though.

i never saw a live depiction of spiderman (animated or otherwise) that captures the personality portrayed in the comics. but from the trailers of the new spider man it seems pretty close.

Yeah, I agree... like that part with the knife wielding guy.

Some of the Marvel video games do a pretty good job of capturing Spiderman's personality.

I was looking up some videos from the Spiderman cartoon from the 80's-90's and they did a pretty good job with the personality traits.
