i usually call a lot of hands, but i ended up losing to nerds who keep hitting. winnie was saying maybe there's an equalizer thing, that if you have a huge stack, they'll purposely give you bad hands or playable hands that don't go anywhere to get your chips in. for the random people that i friended in the app, it seems to be true. one guy was up to 3 mil and the next day he was at zero.

so i was playing omaha yesterday, and i flopped top pair (queens) and flush draws and straight draws up the ying yang. i start to bet huge to protect my top pair and draws, and like 4 guys were calling. i was able to get 2 of them to fold by the river, and i went all in after i missed every draw possible.

i won 40k with top pair lol.

then i promptly lost it all when my flopped 2 pair was rivered by a straight.

haha, i think the key to this game is conservative betting... going all in is basically anybody's guess even if you have the nuts with the river to go. All it takes is one river to knock you out if you're all in. If you bet here and there but not all in, you'll probably win more times than you lose if you play properly. Just gotta manage your losses.

but that's easier said than done when monkeys go all in with draws and you have nuts...

the other day i was playing, and the flop was 5, 5, j. i was like, i'm sure someone has the house or at least trips, so i got the crap outta there. the turn was another j. then the river was a 5. then i was thinking, i'm positive now someone has a 5, seeing as how they're betting.

i was right. someone had a 5. but he lost to another guy's pocket j.

freaking rigged.

i know right? so many bad beats (actual bad beats) that it's ridiculous.

funny thing happened yesterday, playing omaha and a guy went all in. he lost to some guy's straight. he starts swearing and saying that he had a house and shouldn't have lost and eff this sh and stuff like that. then some guy was like, you can only use two cards out of your hand. and he's like "wtf serious?" then everyone laughed at him while he just got more angry haha.

I got pocket Q's twice in a row last night, and lost both times with them!

First time, this happened:
237 flop
I bet moderately big, a few calls
J on the turn
I bet bigger, only 2 guys call
A on the river
I got scared, so I bet smaller.. both called me.

I lost to a guy with A 2... he stayed in on my big bets based on him having a pair 2 and he chased the river for his A.

The second time I got it, this happened:

Q 10 7 flop
I got trips, so I bet big to try to scare away the people chasing a straight
9 on the turn
I got scared so I just bet the minimum to test the waters. Some folds and some calls.
3 on the river
No one raised last time, so I got more confident, so I raised three times minimum. All folded except 2 guys who called. One of the guys got the nut straight (no flush possible). That's so retarded that he didn't raise with the nut high hand.

sometimes i wonder if some of those guys actually know how to play. i've seen some people call all in after the river with just high cards.
