So anyway, I was watching the Toby Mcguire Spiderman movies yesterday cuz they were on TV. I realized how much I didn't like those movies. I noticed how that Spiderman had way too much Super strength.. Almost at Superman levels.. Didn't make sense.

The new Spiderman movie emphasizes more on his quickness and intuition (spidey senses), and he got injured a heck of a lot.

spider man IS pretty strong, but i'm not sure if he can hold a wall or stop a train.
i remember he fought kingpin hand-to-hand once, and kingpin bested him in strength.

That's what I mean.. Strong, but not stopping a train strong.

1500 pounds is about the weight of one and a half cars. A 5-car train full of passengers is already way over 1500 pounds. Add to that, it's got over 100 km/h worth of momentum. I think that's way past his limit.

Maybe "Superman" level strength is exaggerating, but it's stronger than he should be.

hey, why not use your powers of deduction to figure out how much mario's coins are worth? lol.

cars vary in weight, hard to say what spider man should and shouldn't be able to lift. the train thing nearly killed him and it was more the strength of his web and grip that is more in question than his actual strength.

Yeah, his grip strength was incredible. Single nerdy teenagers sure work out their hands a lot. (and married middle age guys too, I guess)

superman's strength is debatable too.
i remember in one comic he had a hard time pushing a building over.
then in another comic the guy was pushing a planet out of orbit.

The original Superman wasn't as powerful. He couldn't even fly.. he could leap over tall buildings, but not fly. He outran a train, but only by a bit... and it was an old school train too. And I think he had the strength of 10 men.

I guess super heroes go through different revisions throughout the years.

yeah, the original superman just had greater strength due to kryptonian natural physiology.
but then xray and heat vision came into the mix. and everyone was like what the hey?

and why did he even talk about spiderwebs? that has nothing to do with spiderman's powers.
