Yup.. just the standard 4, 6, or 10 units based on the combination of the cards turned in. There is no advancing scale.

I saw this iPhone app for Risk. It's a dice roll simulator. You just input the number of armies on each side and it runs through the rolls for you. You can see it roll one at a time, but you can adjust the speed so it goes through everything quickly.

I haven't really played around with it, so I'm not sure if you're able to choose to use one army or two or three when attacking/defending.

the freeware game i was talking about had that too. you can just watch the rolling or hit "instant battle" and it'll just tell you who won haha.
