I think there was also an asteroid that zipped past the earth around 11am. I think they said it was half the size of a football field. It was the closest that an asteroid of such a size has gotten to the earth.

Anyway..

It's crazy how you can see the meteor ignite when it hits the atmosphere, then blow by so low to the ground. The sonic boom shattered glass in buildings all along its path.

Yeah that'd be scary. I think I remember reading that there were two recorded cases of people getting hit by falling space rocks. Both died.

a few different ones. i don't know if anyone died from this one. i heard some people were cut by glass though.
