Looks like steam is offering free games to people who are running an ATI or NVidia graphics card. Which is basically everyone unless you are using onboard video...

Don't know anything about these games though...

this sounds a bit intrusive on your pc though. You have to download the "Stream" download applet that probes your computer and checks the video card before you can download games. In my opinion, these download applets do more than they advertise.
