I wanted to say "what will those Japanese people come up with next?", but this was invented by some dude in China.

I don't know how much convenience you need for buying crab though that you would need to get it out of a vending machine.

I guess it made sense to the Chinese people... apparently that machine sells around 100 crabs per day.

That's a lot of crab for just one guy... he should just buy bulk instead. Saves from having to individually unwrap 100 crabs from those weird plastic crab jails.

he reuses them to store things like rubber bands and tape.

probably. that's why he needs so many crab trap boxes. they're not just good for crabs you know.

I guess the guy needs to store the rubber bands and tape in low temperatures too in order to maintain the freshness.

that's what all the rubber band and tape hoarders do.

I've watched the show "Hoarders"... the last thing they care about is freshness.
