The Simplest of Things

No matter how many times I see it, it’s still pretty magical to me. Give a kid a box, and let their imagination run wild. In our age of endless electronic distractions that make a million sounds and repeatedly bombard our children with bright saturated colours, I absolutely LOVE to watch a child playing with a simple object, immersed in their own make believe world, entertaining themselves for what seems like hours on end. When she’s in that frame of mind, Reagan is more than content to just sit and play by herself with a block or a ball, and her little (for now) mind for company. Every now and then, she’d let out a bright giggle for no apparent reason at all. This has to be one of my favourite parts of being a parent, watching her creativity and imagination really begin to develop.
